TL;DR

Director of People Operations (Cybersecurity): Lead and scale people function with an accent on building foundational HR processes and ensuring compliant employee experience. Focus on defining strategy, implementing lifecycle management, and advising on organizational health.

Location: New York City, on-site (part-time)

Salary: $75 – $115 per hour

What you will do

  • Define and lead People Operations strategy including organizational design, workforce planning, and employee experience
  • Build and implement core HR processes for onboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle
  • Partner with leadership on hiring plans, compensation strategy, and talent development
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices in regulated environments
  • Oversee HR systems, documentation, reporting, and employee relations initiatives
  • Collaborate with recruiting and advise on culture and people-related decisions

Requirements

  • 6+ years in Human Resources, People Operations, or related roles
  • Experience in leadership or senior HR role, ideally in startup or high-growth environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance
  • Proven experience building HR processes from the ground up
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
