What you will do

• Lead optics-related technical assessments in daily meetings, disturbance reviews, and escalations.
• Own high-impact optics disturbances, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive containment actions.
• Perform structural analysis to identify systemic optics gaps and deploy best-known methods for alignment, calibration, and diagnostics.
• Coach teams on optics troubleshooting and system behavior, acting as technical reference.
• Deliver management-ready reports and represent optics expertise in global English meetings.
• Integrate insights across product lines to support factory targets and prevent recurrences.

Requirements

• Excellent English communication skills for escalations and stakeholder alignment.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Optics/Optical Engineering, Applied Physics (optics), Photonics, or Electrical Engineering with optics exposure.
• 5–8+ years in semiconductor, electronics, or precision equipment, with optics domains like module integration, sensing, imaging, or troubleshooting.
• Strong system-level optics understanding interacting with mechanical/electrical/control systems.
• Proven structured problem-solving, risk assessment, and decision-making under pressure.
• Data-driven with logical reasoning and ownership mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with YieldStar, PAS5500, Reticle Handler, or XT platforms.
• D&E optics background or R&D-manufacturing bridge.
• Optical calibration, sensor characterization, or diagnostics knowledge.
• Structured RCA, ECN, reliability improvements, or mentoring experience.
• Lean/Kaizen for continuous improvement.
