TL;DR

Forward Deployed Engineer: Embed within strategic customers' engineering teams to design, build, and deploy production solutions using hirify.global's platform with an accent on technical architecture, platform adoption, and operational integration. Location: Hybrid in NYC with regular on-site presence required

Salary: $185,000 - $254,000 (NYC based)

What you will do

  • Serve as dedicated technical partner embedded in customer's engineering organization.
  • Design, build, and deploy production-ready code and configurations into customer infrastructure.
  • Own technical success across hirify.global portfolio and act as primary technical contact.
  • Participate in customer standups, design reviews, and incident response.
  • Drive platform adoption and identify opportunities to unlock new capabilities.
  • Surface edge cases and gaps to influence hirify.global's product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional software engineering experience with production-grade systems
  • Ownership of mission-critical services, on-call, incident response, high uptime.
  • Active coding with modern frameworks, languages, deployment patterns.
  • Full-stack depth: frontend, backend, databases, distributed infrastructure.
  • AI-augmented workflows in daily development.
  • Cloud fluency (AWS, GCP, or Azure), serverless, networking, security.
  • Systems design for complex requirements and high agency in ambiguity.
  • Executive presence for VP-level discussions

Nice to have

  • Experience with hirify.global Workers or Developer Platform.
  • Customer-facing engineering or startup experience.
  • Public profile: open-source, blogging, conferences.
