TL;DR

Production/Material Planner (hirify.global): Analyze MRP results, manage PO release and supplier performance in a contract manufacturing site with an accent on handling critical shortages, ECNs, and quality issues. Focus on expediting deliveries, escalation processes, and monitoring on-time supplier delivery.

Location: Onsite at Bayan Lepas / Bukit Minyak area, Mainland Penang, Malaysia. Local candidates only, no relocation or visa sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Analyze weekly MRP planned buy messages and release POs in a timely manner.
  • Manage POs including expediting, de-expediting, cancellations, and related issues like PPV, shipping, receiving, and accounts payable.
  • Address critical shortages via escalation to commodity management for recovery plans.
  • Monitor supplier on-time delivery and handle RMA for quality issues.
  • Manage ECNs by communicating changes to suppliers, evaluating material impact, and monitoring implementation.
  • Support HVM planning teams across Asia with additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Local to Penang, Malaysia; no relocation or visa sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts (BA) or Science (BS) preferred.
  • Related material planning experience with strong MRP logic understanding, PO release/management, and supplier management skills.
  • Experience with ECNs for complex products is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Flexible team player with strong attention to detail.
