Staff Accountant

What you will do

• Reconcile and maintain accounting records for reports, verifying and balancing transactions
• Prepare month-end reconciliations, schedules, and journal entries across cash, AP, payroll, fixed assets, and more
• Track and reconcile intercompany transactions with site locations, resolving issues for accurate reporting
• Assist with annual audits by providing documentation
• Document close process activities and track month-end checklists for timely closes
• Review P&L coding, record cost allocations, and support ad-hoc reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years of experience in corporate environment
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Strong to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment and work independently or in a team

Nice to have

• CPA
• Experience using NetSuite
• Industry knowledge in Life Insurance, Insurtech, or Fintech
