Electrical Project Engineer (Substation)

What you will do

• Lead or support substation projects as technical specialist, providing coordination and expertise on EPC activities.
• Develop protection & control designs: protective relays, one/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring.
• Create physical designs: yard plans, grounding, lightning protection, control buildings, auxiliary power.
• Perform quality reviews of design packages and mentor junior team members.
• Prepare equipment specs, BOMs, budgets, schedules; communicate with clients, vendors, stakeholders.
• Support business development, proposals, and potential travel for reviews and site verification.

Requirements

• Burlington, MA, US location; hybrid/flexible after 90 days based on manager discretion
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience in electrical engineering.
• Ability to complete pre-employment checks: background, drug screen, motor vehicle records.
• No visa sponsorship available

Nice to have

• HV substation design experience (Physical/Protection & Controls).
• Project lead experience with utility clients.
• QA/QC reviews, client coordination.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
