What you will do

• Execute mechanical design projects from initial architecture through to mass production.
• Design, prototype, and refine electrical interconnect solutions to address complex engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with global suppliers to ensure efficient production tooling and high-quality manufacturing.
• Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations on components and systems.
• Optimize wire harness designs, schematics, and 2D drawings using CAD and GD&T principles.
• Ensure designs meet thermal, shielding, and regulatory requirements (USCAR, IEC, IPC).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of industry experience, including 3 years specifically in Cable Harness or Interconnect design.
• Proficiency in CAD software, with strong preference for Zuken and NX.
• Strong working knowledge of injection molding, CNC machining, and mass production processes.
• Experience with regulated consumer or industrial product design and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of basic metallurgy, material selection, and thermal design for electrical contacts.

Nice to have

• Experience with high power systems up to 1kV and 500A.
• Background in designing ruggedized outdoor electromechanical products with IP protection.
• Advanced failure analysis and root cause investigation skills.
