What you will do

• Execute cable harness designs from initial architecture through to mass production.
• Develop and monitor production tooling while interfacing directly with global suppliers.
• Perform root cause and failure analysis on components to ensure high quality and reliability.
• Optimize designs for cost, assembly efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Refine solutions to complex engineering challenges involving thermal management, signal integrity, and shielding.
• Review and optimize 2D drawings using advanced GD&T standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of industry experience, including 3 years specifically in Cable Harness or Interconnect design.
• Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably Zuken and NX.
• Strong working knowledge of injection molding, CNC machining, and mass production processes.
• Experience with relevant industry standards such as USCAR, IEC, or IPC.
• Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of metallurgy, material selection, and thermal design for electrical contacts.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-power systems (up to 1kV and 500A).
• Background in designing ruggedized outdoor electromechanical products with IP ratings.
• Expertise in advanced failure analysis and root cause investigation.
