What you will do

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to architecture and test microreactor electrical control systems.
• Design industrial hardware including schematics, wiring diagrams, and integration assemblies.
• Lead the development of fault-tolerant, safety-critical electrical systems emphasizing regulatory compliance.
• Review electrical interface designs between control systems, power equipment, and instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes like NFPA and NEC while performing safety calculations.
• Integrate control hardware with power systems, VFDs, and motor control centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in electrical hardware design.
• Must work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Must be a US person capable of complying with U.S. export controls (no visa sponsorship).
• Expertise in safety-critical hardware and industrial communications protocols like CANbus, EtherCAT, or Modbus.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or Zuken.
• Experience designing and analyzing industrial power systems (up to 480 VAC).

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens NX and PLC programming (Structured Text).
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
• Background in nuclear instrumentation or hazard analysis (FMEA).
• Proficiency in Python or C++ for automation and diagnostics.
