Senior Software Engineer (HSM, Crypto)

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 CAD base + equity, annual performance bonus, and benefits

What you will do

• Design and build scalable, robust APIs, libraries, and services for the API-first platform
• Own features from inception through deployment and customer integration
• Expose and document functionality for UI, third-party developers, and tooling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, efficient code; fix bugs, optimize performance, and identify bottlenecks
• Mentor peers through code reviews and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Cryptography, or related
• 6+ years in designing/implementing cryptographic solutions for enterprise back-end/server-side systems
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms/protocols (RSA, ECC, AES, SHA)
• Strong experience with C, C++, or Rust; TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• RESTful API design, microservices, service-oriented architectures
• Unit/functional testing, debugging, Git/GitHub, CI tools, code reviews

Nice to have

• Familiarity with security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, FIPS)
• Experience in TSS, MPC, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, or centralized finance
