Senior Software Engineer, Data Products (Web3): Designing and implementing scalable data products like trust-minimized off-chain computation and external data aggregation for blockchain environments with an accent on Data Feeds powering DeFi. Focus on owning end-to-end delivery of high-reliability systems, building smart contracts in Solidity, Move, and Rust, and architecting resilient distributed subsystems across chains like Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon.

Location: Global remote; try to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST)

What you will do

• Design and implement new features in Data Products, including trust-minimized off-chain computation and data aggregation across blockchains.
• Own end-to-end delivery of data products securing the largest DeFi TVS market share.
• Build core products with smart contracts using Solidity, Move, and Rust on chains like Solana, Avalanche, Polygon, and Ethereum.
• Partner with research team on cutting-edge products and manage architectural vision for Chainlink node subsystems.
• Model attack vectors, failures, and disaster scenarios in test environments and develop fixes.
• Implement resilient distributed systems for high reliability in diverse blockchain environments.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years professional software engineering in collaborative product-driven environments
• Experience in blockchain and Web3 technologies
• Experience developing smart contracts securing meaningful on-chain value
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and systems design
• Experience owning multi-month projects with stakeholder communication on progress, dependencies, and risks
• Experience building distributed and low-latency systems
• B.S. or higher in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or related field

Nice to have

• Experience in Golang or strongly-typed languages
• Experience with globally distributed teams
• Experience in or with market data
