What you will do

• Design and build features using Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), AWS, Azure, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Kubernetes.
• Lead technical breakdown of complex requirements into actionable tasks and own engineering estimations for large initiatives.
• Drive cross-functional projects with Auth0/hirify.global teams, aligning on dependencies, security, and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align roadmaps and advocate for architectural changes supporting product vision.
• Maintain and operate high-scale services, participate in on-call rotations.
• Mentor engineers on system design, code quality, testing, and career development.

Requirements

• Practical experience with Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) or similar.
• Experience building highly reliable, maintainable, scalable systems.
• Thorough understanding of application and cloud security best practices.
• Systematic problem-solving, strong communication, ownership, and track record influencing strategy on multi-quarter projects.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure preferred) and designing/analyzing large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in remote environment; enthusiasm for identity protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML).

Nice to have

• Existing knowledge of identity protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML).
• Security engineering and application security experience.
• Understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure, security, data, integration, and application layers.
