What you will do

• Build detailed 3D MEP models in OpenBuildings Designer for station boxes, tunnels, and transportation systems.
• Translate 2D engineering drawings into coordinated 3D models and coordinate across MEP, structural, and civil disciplines.
• Manage ProjectWise workflows, submissions, transmittals, and set up seed files, workspaces, and model environments.
• Deliver drawings, sheets, and outputs from composite models while ensuring QA/QC, clash detection, and ISO 19650 compliance.
• Incorporate survey data, point clouds, subsurface utilities, and existing conditions into models.
• Engage with clients, support coordination using Bentley tools, mentor juniors, and innovate BIM workflows.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience building 3D MEP models in Bentley OpenBuildings Designer across infrastructure projects.
• Solid background in MicroStation with understanding of model setup, seed files, coordinates, and drawing standards.
• Experience in ProjectWise environments, structured workflows, submissions, and client data standards.
• Proven ability to interpret 2D drawings and create multi-discipline, clash-free 3D models using Bentley tools like iTwin, Navigator, iModels.
• Understanding of BIM standards (ISO 19650, BEPs) and incorporating existing conditions, survey data, point clouds, or utilities.
• Comfort working with engineers, project teams, and clients to resolve design and coordination challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience translating Bentley models to Autodesk (Revit, Navisworks) using IFC or open BIM.
• Familiarity with point cloud processing, scan-to-BIM, digital twins, AIM/PIM, or 4D planning tools.
• Working with metadata, automation, scripting (Python, Bentley SDK), or rail/transit engineering background.
