Test & Validation Senior Associate Engineer (Engineering): Developing engine systems with a focus on optimizing engine performance and emissions. Focus on performing engine system calibrations that meet customer needs and ensure all applicable emissions regulatory requirements are met.

Location: This position is located in Mossville, IL and requires working onsite five days a week.

What you will do

• Develop engine ratings that meet emissions and critical customer performance targets.
• Perform complex analysis work, identify, and solve challenging problems.
• Create and deliver technical reports.
• Communicate technical information to customers and internal technical leadership and management.
• Mentor and train new engineers on processes/procedures for engine development.
• Collaborate with a global team across multiple functional areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Basic understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy.
• Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
• Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques.
• Basic understanding of effective project management strategies and tactics.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Technical knowledge - experience with engine testing, calibration, simulation, or controls.
• Familiarity with 1-D engine performance and transient simulation tools, such as GT Power.
• The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions.
