Service Engineer

TL;DR

Service Engineer (Test Systems): Deliver professional customer-oriented services including maintenance, calibration, repair, and installation of measurement equipment in testing facilities with an accent on emissions equipment and electrical troubleshooting. Focus on troubleshooting products, generating reports, providing hotline support, and ensuring compliance with hirify.global specifications under customer requirements.

Onsite in Pontiac, MI, US. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor work visas.

What you will do

• Act as liaison and company representative for customers at their sites.
• Perform test equipment installation, configuration, maintenance, and calibration to hirify.global specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair products following defined processes.
• Complete service reports, calibration certificates, and administrative tasks professionally and timely.
• Provide hotline support and feedback for improving troubleshooting guides and equipment effectiveness.
• Participate in personal training plans and complete safety training.
• Handle minimal travel as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3+ years relevant experience, including internships; 3+ years with test automation equipment preferred.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical processes.
• Experience troubleshooting with electrical schematics and knowledge of emissions equipment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions.
• Must be willing to travel minimally and work primarily onsite in Pontiac, MI.
