Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fintech): Designing, developing, and customizing software solutions using Actimize, SQL, and other technologies to meet client requirements with an accent on technical feasibility assessment and system configuration. Focus on root cause analysis, problem-solving, and ensuring efficiency and quality in both process and product.

Location: Hoboken, NJ, USA. Hybrid work model with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote per week.

What you will do

• Analyze client business models and understand their requirements.
• Support workshops as a functional point of contact to explain the Actimize solution to clients.
• Participate in requirement gathering from clients and support them in understanding the Actimize solution to meet business requirements.
• Lead projects end to end and oversee the implementation effort by utilizing senior and junior developers.
• Enhance existing solutions to match client requirements by configuring and customizing software using Actimize software, SQL, and other technologies.
• Perform technical root cause analysis and outline corrective action for given problems.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience with a software company or consulting role.
• Prior Actimize solution experience is a MUST.
• Databases: MS SQL and Oracle. Cassandra is a plus.
• Knowledge of ETL tools is a plus.
• Operating systems: Windows and Linux.
• Web Technologies: HTML, XML, XSL, Javascript.
• Web App servers: Tomcat or WebSphere.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Travel required 0 to 10%.
