Showroom Intern

TL;DR

Showroom Intern: Supporting showroom operations and assisting sales representatives in a "to the trade" design environment with an accent on inventory management, client communication, and merchandising. Focus on showroom maintenance, event support, and providing assistance to both internal and external stakeholders.

Location: Onsite in New York City

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Pull memos for clients in the showroom and for clients who call to request mail outs.
• Manage inventory for all lines and re-order memos and brochures.
• Receive inventory.
• Assist with showroom related events.
• Assist outside sales reps on road program and inside sales reps with in-showroom appointments.
• Assist with merchandising textile, wallcovering and leather displays in the showroom.
• Perform daily showroom duties: tidying textile floor area, filing memos, finish samples and tear sheets.

Requirements

• Ideal candidates will be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field or have equivalent work experience.
• Ideal candidates will have some experience working in a retail or showroom environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Some light lifting (20lbs – 30lbs max).
• Computer skills – basic knowledge preferred.
