Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Chile

Salary: $5,000–$9,500 gross per month in USD

What you will do

• Lead vulnerability management across infrastructure, platforms, and applications, including scanning, validation, triage, and remediation coordination.
• Build and operate SIEM/XDR capabilities, including log ingestion, detection rules, alert tuning, and investigation workflows.
• Investigate security incidents across cloud infrastructure and applications, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes.
• Design detection strategies for suspicious activity and data exfiltration using application and database telemetry.
• Secure AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, containers, dependencies, and software supply chains.
• Develop security automation, including appropriate use of AI, and support controls aligned with PCI DSS and SOC 2.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in security, software, or infrastructure engineering with hands-on experience securing cloud production systems.
• Experience with threat modeling, security design reviews, vulnerability management, and remediation verification.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Wazuh, Splunk, or ELK and with incident response.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, cloud security architecture, hardening, and operational practices.
• Experience with CI/CD hardening, software supply chain risk, and tools such as Snyk, Trivy, or Grype.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.

Nice to have

• Experience tuning detection rules, reducing alert noise, and improving investigation workflows.
• Knowledge of IAM, network segmentation, container security, telemetry pipelines, and security analytics.
• Experience aligning technical security work with PCI DSS, SOC 2, and other compliance expectations.
