What you will do

• Operate vulnerability management across infrastructure and applications, driving remediation with engineering teams.
• Build and mature SIEM/XDR capabilities, including log ingestion, detection rule development, and investigation workflows.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents across cloud infrastructure, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
• Design detection strategies for suspicious activity and data exfiltration using application and database telemetry.
• Drive infrastructure and CI/CD hardening initiatives to reduce software and container supply chain risk.
• Implement security controls aligned with PCI DSS, SOC 2, and other compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in security, software, or infrastructure engineering.
• Must be based in Chile.
• Strong hands-on experience in AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes security architecture and hardening.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Wazuh, Splunk, ELK) and vulnerability scanners (Snyk, Trivy, Grype).
• Experience contributing to threat modeling and security design reviews for modern systems.
• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS and SOC 2.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and tuning detection rules to reduce alert noise.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native security controls (IAM, network segmentation).
• Experience designing secure CI/CD workflows that reduce exposure to vulnerable dependencies.
• Experience using automation and AI to reduce manual effort and improve consistency at scale.
