Security Engineer (AWS/AI)

Location: Brazil; 100% remote. Current legal authorization to work in Brazil is required. Visa or work permit sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Conduct security and vulnerability assessments for cloud-based and mobile workloads.
• Monitor implementations, audit controls, and develop security assessment reports.
• Build, integrate, and tune security tooling using AWS Inspector, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Lambda, and Security Hub.
• Advise project and development teams on security architecture, technical risks, mitigations, threat modeling, and control requirements.
• Design vulnerability scans and automated compliance validation for cloud applications, infrastructure, containers, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Coordinate junior team members, deliver developer-focused security training, and support SecOps incident response on call.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 2–4 years of experience in IT or security, including 3+ years with AWS or another public cloud.
• Security+ or another security certification, with experience in AWS security scanning, monitoring, and alerting tools.
• Experience with YAML, Terraform, or CDK; scripting with Bash or PowerShell; and programming with Python or Node.js.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, configuration management, CI/CD, SDLC collaboration, and cloud-native services such as Lambda and API Gateway.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices, containers, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Kubernetes, network and web protocols, and AWS security reference architecture.
• Legal authorization to work in Brazil is required; visa or work permit sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• AWS Security Specialty or Professional certification, or Anthropic certification.
• Consulting or client-facing experience and experience explaining cybersecurity concepts or delivering training.
• Knowledge of RMF, FedRAMP, DoD CC SRG, NIST 800-53, or NIST 800-171.
• Datadog experience and prior participation in an on-call rotation.
• Experience demonstrating how AI transformed workloads or processes.
