Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Lead vulnerability management across infrastructure, platforms, and applications, including scanning, validation, triage, remediation coordination, and verification.
• Build and operate SIEM/XDR capabilities through log ingestion, detection rule development, alert tuning, and investigation workflows.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes.
• Design detection strategies for suspicious activity and data exfiltration using application and database telemetry.
• Lead threat modeling and security design reviews while securing AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure at scale.
• Harden infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, reduce software and container supply chain risk, and implement security automation including AI-supported workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in security, software, or infrastructure engineering, including securing cloud-based production systems.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, SIEM platforms, incident response, threat modeling, and security design reviews.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes, including security architecture, hardening, and operational practices.
• Experience with CI/CD hardening, software supply chain security, and container and dependency security tools such as Snyk, Trivy, or Grype.
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies, including OWASP and SANS, plus working knowledge of PCI DSS and SOC 2.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and tuning detection rules, reducing alert noise, and improving investigation workflows.
• Understanding of cloud-native security controls, IAM, network segmentation, telemetry pipelines, and security analytics.
• Experience designing secure CI/CD workflows and aligning technical security work with regulatory requirements.
• Experience using automation and AI to reduce manual effort and improve consistency at scale.
