Security Infrastructure Engineer Intern (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote in Colombia

Salary: 2,800,000 COP monthly

What you will do

• Review vulnerability scan results, validate findings, and support security finding triage.
• Analyze SIEM logs and alerts to identify potential security issues.
• Participate in basic security incident investigations and documentation.
• Help implement and improve security controls across AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Improve detection capabilities, monitoring coverage, and infrastructure workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and address security issues.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, security fundamentals, vulnerabilities, authentication, and the OWASP Top 10.
• Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.
• Interest in cloud platforms, especially AWS, and infrastructure systems.
• Exposure to programming or scripting with Python, Go, or Bash.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, logging, monitoring, or SIEM tools.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Interest in cloud security, infrastructure security, or detection engineering.
