TL;DR
Information Security Intern (Cybersecurity) (Python/AWS): Building security-process automation across vulnerability management, detection engineering, cloud identity management, and SOC2/SOX ITGC compliance with an accent on security tooling and cloud-based computing. Focus on triaging Level 1 security alerts, investigating incidents, and identifying process efficiencies during a 12-week internship.
Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado; three days in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live and be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
Salary: $26.92 per hour; housing assistance is available for eligible students.

What you will do
- Build automation for security processes across vulnerability management, detection engineering, cloud identity management, and SOC2/SOX ITGC compliance.
- Learn existing security tooling and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency.
- Perform Level 1 alert triage, analyze security alerts, and conduct investigations.
- Collaborate with the security team on real-world business and technology challenges.
Requirements
- Be a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, business information systems, risk management, or a related field.
- Have familiarity with information security principles and cloud-based computing solutions such as GitHub and AWS.
- Have familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python.
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to implement ideas from start to finish.
- Be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude.
