What you will do

• Develop and maintain project programmes for transmission and distribution projects, ensuring logical sequencing and realistic delivery assumptions.
• Identify critical path activities and constraints, while updating live programmes to reflect progress and risks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to align programmes with site progress and support recovery planning for delays.
• Provide programme data for financial forecasting, cost tracking, and monthly management reporting.
• Support bid teams by developing tender programmes, determining durations, and defining delivery logic.
• Manage programmes and version control using tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Requirements

• Experience in a Planner, Assistant Planner, or project support role within construction, utilities, or infrastructure environments.
• Proficiency in planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high proficiency in Excel.
• Confident communicator capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organised approach to workload management.

Nice to have

• Experience working on National Grid or DNO-related projects.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and their specific programme requirements.
• Experience supporting the development of tender programmes for bids.
• Degree or HNC/HND in Construction, Engineering, or Project Management.
