TL;DR
Software Engineer II: Shaping the future of backend services for mobile and Web Widget products with an accent on reliability, security, and scalability. Focus on contributing to technical strategy alignment with business objectives and proactively identifying areas of technical debt and inefficiency.
Location: Hybrid, Krakow, Poland or Dublin, Ireland. Must attend the local office for part of the week.
Salary: zł179,000.00-zł269,000.00 annually in Poland.

What you will do
- Build reliable, secure, and scalable backend systems.
- Own complex projects and contribute to technical strategy alignment with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and engage in pair programming sessions to maintain high code quality.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and fix defects.
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of features with support from the team, from conception through deployment, performance tuning, and maintenance.
- Actively participate in feature discovery, working closely with Product and engaging with upstream and downstream engineering teams.
Requirements
- Understanding and familiarity with crafting and working with backend technologies.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with designing and implementing service-oriented applications.
- Experience in relational database management systems and SQL.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Some professional experience with Scala or an interest to learn.
- Experience working with Datadog.
- Understanding of SLIs, SLOs & error budgets.
- Experience with k8s PODs & podded architecture.
- Experience with distributed monoliths & microservices architecture patterns.
