Software Engineer II

Location: Hybrid, Krakow, Poland or Dublin, Ireland. Must attend the local office for part of the week.

Salary: zł179,000.00-zł269,000.00 annually in Poland.

What you will do

• Build reliable, secure, and scalable backend systems.
• Own complex projects and contribute to technical strategy alignment with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and engage in pair programming sessions to maintain high code quality.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and fix defects.
• Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of features with support from the team, from conception through deployment, performance tuning, and maintenance.
• Actively participate in feature discovery, working closely with Product and engaging with upstream and downstream engineering teams.

Requirements

• Understanding and familiarity with crafting and working with backend technologies.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with designing and implementing service-oriented applications.
• Experience in relational database management systems and SQL.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Some professional experience with Scala or an interest to learn.
• Experience working with Datadog.
• Understanding of SLIs, SLOs & error budgets.
• Experience with k8s PODs & podded architecture.
• Experience with distributed monoliths & microservices architecture patterns.
