Senior Backend Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services and APIs using Python and Go.
• Architect scalable and secure systems to support new product lines and user growth.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and champion best practices in code, testing, and observability.
• Own features from conception to deployment using CircleCI, GCP, and Kubernetes.
• Enhance infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience, preferably in SaaS.
• Significant professional experience with Python building complex applications.
• Proven track record with distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong experience developing and consuming APIs.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (no H-1B).

Nice to have

• Experience with Go (Golang).
• Proficiency with DevOps tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Previous experience in FinTech or highly-regulated industries.
