What you will do

• Develop and execute a licensing roadmap across the EU, Latin America, Africa, South Asia, and Hong Kong for payment, e-money, and VASP services.
• Prepare, review, and submit license applications and manage direct communications with regulators and government agencies.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and consultants across multiple global jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to embed regulatory frameworks into product and operational design.
• Monitor global regulatory developments to identify risks and opportunities for market entry.
• Represent the company in regulatory discussions, industry associations, and working groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or higher.
• 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience, with 3+ years specifically in fintech, payments, or crypto.
• Proven track record of securing financial/payment licenses in the EU, LatAm, Africa, South Asia, or Hong Kong.
• Deep expertise in AML/CFT, e-money licensing, and virtual asset regulatory frameworks.
• Strong English legal drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple licensing projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Chinese.
