Salary: $210,000 - $234,000

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a software engineering team focused on core scheduling and tasking platform services.
• Define technical roadmaps and team goals aligned with company priorities.
• Oversee development of collection scheduling, ground contact planning, resource coordination, and customer-facing APIs.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical services operating in production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate mission needs into technical specifications.
• Drive engineering best practices, including design reviews, code quality, testing, and observability.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with Python and C++ in production.
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams building production systems.
• Strong technical background in distributed systems, backend services, or platform development.
• Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, including containers and service orchestration.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with U.S. Government export regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, robotics, or logistics with real-time scheduling and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with optimization techniques and their integration into operational systems.
• Experience designing stable, intuitive customer-facing APIs and developer experiences.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, simulation frameworks, or mission planning systems.
