Mission Control System Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design high-level Mission Control System (MCS) architecture and specify its main functionalities.
• Define MCS requirements and interfaces, including Space-to-Ground and Ground-to-Ground interfaces.
• Collaborate with satellite specialists for the integration of telemetry, tracking & command (TT&C).
• Conduct integration, validation, verification, and testing to ensure system requirements and performance are met.
• Support real-time operations during critical mission phases including launch, LEOP, and commissioning.
• Manage technical suppliers, including the preparation of Statements of Work (SoW) and Work Package Descriptions (WPD).

Requirements

• Master’s degree in STEM disciplines.
• At least four years of relevant work experience in Mission Control Systems.
• Knowledge of TM/TC protocols (CCSDS, ECSS) and Mission Control systems (ESOC, SCOS-2000, EGSCC or equivalent).
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, C/C++, Java and Linux environments.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the EU.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time satellite operations.
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) and versioning systems (e.g. Git).
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira or Redmine.
• Knowledge of IP networks, IT security, and cloud architectures for ground segments.
• Background in machine learning or automation for space operations.
