What you will do

• Contribute to the design of spacecraft avionics including flight computers, power distribution, and sensors.
• Participate in schematic capture and PCB layout under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist in the bring-up, testing, and validation of newly designed hardware.
• Collaborate with software teams on hardware-software integration.
• Build and test early hardware prototypes to evaluate design concepts.
• Create design documentation, test procedures, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or eligible to access export-controlled information (ITAR/EAR compliance).
• 0-3 years of experience in hardware engineering or relevant internships.
• Familiarity with electronic components, circuits, and test equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Exposure to schematic capture and PCB layout software such as Altium or Cadence.
• Understanding of microcontroller basics and communication interfaces like UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems or basic embedded programming.
• Familiarity with environmental testing considerations like vibration, thermal, and EMI.
• Exposure to Python for test automation or data analysis.
• Participation in student projects or clubs related to robotics or aerospace.
