Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada (excluding Quebec); sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 CAD annually

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of product designers and user researchers to foster a culture of design thinking and craft excellence.
• Define and evolve a clear design vision aligned with product strategy and user needs across reader, writer, and ads ecosystems.
• Actively contribute to high-impact initiatives and critical product moments, balancing speed with high-quality execution.
• Govern and evolve the design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and accessibility across all surfaces.
• Champion user-centered practices by partnering with research teams to ensure insights meaningfully shape product direction.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Content, and Ads leaders to align on experience outcomes and strategic tradeoffs.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and scaling design teams within a product-driven organization.
• Deep expertise in shaping end-to-end product experiences across multiple surfaces and platforms.
• Ability to move fluidly between high-level strategy and hands-on design execution.
• Track record of influencing product direction through design narratives and user insights.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills for partnering effectively with senior leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada (excluding Quebec).
