TL;DR

Engineering Manager (AI): Leading the team responsible for building and operating core platforms that enable AI adoption across the organization with an accent on foundational layers for safe and scalable AI usage. Focus on building managed tool access, agent governance, and operationalizing AI patterns into production-grade capabilities.

Location: Onsite in Seattle, Washington, United States. Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year

What you will do

  • Own and lead the AI Enablement roadmap, focusing on managed tool access, context management, and agent governance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Security, and Legal to balance innovation with safety and scale.
  • Build platforms supporting safe AI experimentation, prototyping, and scaling of AI patterns.
  • Establish organizational standards and "golden paths" for AI usage across the organization.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for executive and business stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, ownership, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing distributed teams.
  • 6+ years of experience building and operating developer or data practitioner platforms.
  • Strong experience enabling production AI/ML systems, including GenAI and LLM-based systems.
  • Proficiency with AI orchestration/agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and Python.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
