Salary: $170,000 - $215,000 USD

What you will do

• Manage integration of next-generation sensor technologies, networking, power, and computing systems into vehicle platforms.
• Lead partnerships with 3rd party engineering firms to define scope and ensure deliverables meet timing and requirements.
• Oversee vehicle engineering pertaining to embedded software and coordinate with product, program, and autonomy teams.
• Manage departmental KPIs, budgets, OKRs, and people management activities.
• Define the long-term technical roadmap and strategic vision alongside key stakeholders.
• Ensure autonomous driving system architecture meets UL 4600 functional safety requirements.

Requirements

• BS in an Engineering discipline or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with proven success leading engineering functions.
• Demonstrated people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and team building.
• Experience setting technical vision for vehicle systems and autonomous driving subsystems.
• Experience working with safety-critical products, preferably in automotive or aerospace.
• Must be based in or able to work from Ann Arbor, MI.

Nice to have

• MS degree in Engineering or Business.
• Startup experience.
• Autonomous vehicle technology or ADAS experience.
• Experience driving continuous improvements for vehicles already in market.
• Operations management experience.
