Staff Physical Design Engineer (AI/EMIR): Leading EM and IR-drop simulations to ensure robust power delivery and signal integrity for high-performance ICs with an accent on power grid strategies and PPA optimization. Focus on implementing sign-off methodologies for advanced nodes (7nm and below) and collaborating across RTL and physical design teams.

What you will do

• Lead EM and IR-drop simulations to ensure robust power delivery, signal integrity, and long-term reliability.
• Implement power grid strategies to optimize performance, power, and area (PPA) at 7nm nodes and below.
• Support EMIR sign-off and waiver methodologies across the chip hierarchy.
• Collaborate with RTL, physical design, packaging, and reliability teams.
• Architect and analyze power delivery for RISC-V CPUs and AI chips.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in physical design or signoff, focusing on EMIR.
• Hands-on experience with RedHawk, Voltus, or equivalent industry-standard EMIR tools.
• Strong understanding of IR-drop mitigation, EM compliance, and power grid design.
• Experience with advanced nodes (7nm, 5nm, 3nm) and scripting languages (TCL, Python, Perl, or Shell).
• Proficiency with layout extraction flows, RC modeling, and metal density checks.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology (subject to U.S. Export Administration Regulations).
