What you will do

• Lead the development of the core simulated test suite, including log-based, synthetic, and Hardware in the Loop tests.
• Direct the curation, categorization, and continuous improvement of virtual test suites to maximize ODD coverage.
• Manage and mentor a technical organization of 50+ engineers and scientists, fostering innovation and growth.
• Communicate AV performance predictions regarding safety, comfort, and computational efficiency to key stakeholders.
• Define the testing taxonomy, specifications, and long-term roadmap for simulation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including core autonomy development, release, product, and operations.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, ML, Robotics, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in autonomous vehicle technology or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience managing large technical teams (50+ engineers).
• Deep expertise in AV testing, simulation for V&V, and data science.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
