What you will do

• Contribute to the concepting and development of next-gen Ninja products through brainstorming, sketching, and prototyping.
• Build, test, and iterate prototypes and lab rigs to validate performance, usability, and reliability.
• Analyze data from testing and consumer feedback to optimize product functionality and inform design decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and product managers to solve real-world consumer challenges.
• Support design feasibility analysis, CAD modeling, and technical documentation.
• Manage engineering tasks involving materials, mechanisms, and mass production considerations.

Requirements

• Current student or recent graduate (within the past year) in a related bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite in Needham, MA (40 hours per week, 5 days per week).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and physics fundamentals, including thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Solidworks and/or Creo.
• Hands-on experience with prototype development in plastic and metal using basic machine shop tools.

Nice to have

• Exposure to 3D printing and laser cutting.
• Familiarity with electronics, sensors, motors, heaters, and PCBAs common in small appliances.
• Experience with developer kits such as Python, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi.
