What you will do

• Lead the development, optimization, and implementation of automated workflows for genomic DNA extraction, NGS library preparation, and other molecular biology techniques.
• Design and integrate custom Python-based solutions to enhance liquid handler and LIMS interactions.
• Manage and improve service tracking systems for CLIA production instruments.
• Collaborate with R&D and clinical teams to scale up new assays and transfer them to automated platforms.
• Independently design experiments and analyze data.
• Provide technical advice and mentoring to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Computational Biology, Automated Science, or a related field.
• 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Laboratory Automation Specialist, Assay Development Automation Engineer, Molecular Diagnostics Automation Specialist, NGS Workflow Engineer, or related.
• 3 years’ experience in laboratory automation, preferably in a clinical or diagnostic setting.
• 3 years’ experience in independent execution of projects for high-throughput diagnostic assay scale-ups.
• 3 years’ experience in liquid handling platforms (e.g., Hamilton, Beckman Biomek, Agilent Bravo).
• 3 years’ experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows and library preparation.
• 3 years’ experience with programming in Python, R, and bash.
• Must successfully complete competency-based interview.
