Senior Cloud Backend Engineer (IoT): Developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure and backend services for connected devices with an accent on AWS serverless architecture, time-series data management, and secure firmware delivery. Location: Remote (Global)

Compensation: 120–180 PLN/hour (B2B)

A specialized design and engineering partner with 15+ years of experience building applications for IoT and connected devices such as wearables and audio systems.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain robust cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop backend code and API interfaces supporting mobile application business logic.
  • Design schemas and retention policies for time-series and relational data.
  • Implement GDPR/CCPA compliant solutions and data-minimization lifecycles.
  • Conduct load-testing, right-sizing, and cost-allocation monitoring.
  • Manage firmware delivery pipelines and automated security checks.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS Fargate, and Timestream.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js (NestJS).
  • Strong background in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with data security practices, including field-level encryption (KMS) and IAM.
  • Ability to participate in meetings within the CET time zone (up to 20:00 CET).
  • Willingness for occasional travel to the US for major project requirements.
