What you will do

• Design, document, and implement network software infrastructure for egress connectivity used by products like WARP and iCloud Private Relay.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Network Engineering, and SRE teams to translate requirements into new platform capabilities.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including writing code, automated tests, and managing production deployments.
• Ensure system health and uptime through participation in the team's on-call rotation.
• Triage and resolve escalated customer issues related to the Egress platform.
• Integrate AI-powered tools into the daily workflow to analyze codebases and accelerate problem-solving.

Requirements

• Strong programming experience in Go or Rust.
• Solid understanding of OSI Model Layers 3 and 4, HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
• Proven experience implementing secure and highly available distributed systems.
• Ability to debug issues in complex, large-scale systems.
• Must be based in London, UK or Lisbon, Portugal.
• Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools into the engineering workflow.

Nice to have

• Professional systems-level programming experience in Rust.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and Internet routing.
• Experience building tools and APIs.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and debugging large-scale distributed systems.
• Previous experience in an on-call rotation.
