Salary: $16.00 - 18.00/hr + Bonus Structure

What you will do

  • Greet patients, verify identification, and maintain an organized waiting area.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and authorization, and handle copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
  • Perform daily accounting, fee collection, and generate weekly/monthly financial reports.
  • Manage patient admissions and discharges within the Central Registry.
  • Handle general clerical tasks, filing, and office supply procurement.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team and maintain professional boundaries with patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience as a general office clerk with cash handling and basic accounting skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in healthcare, front desk, admissions, or billing is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Must be based in or able to work on-site in Elizabeth City, NC.
