TL;DR

Consultant, Rates & Regulatory (Infrastructure): Delivering advisory projects for water and wastewater utilities with an accent on rate development and financial modeling. Focus on optimizing capital investments, performing cost-of-service analyses, and enhancing organizational capabilities.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in one of the following US cities: Denver, Burlington, Bloomington, Los Angeles, Gaithersburg, Walnut Creek, Chicago, or San Marcos.

Salary: $103,147 - $172,271

What you will do

  • Develop financial models and build rate cases for municipal and regulated water and wastewater utilities.
  • Perform cost-of-service, affordability analyses, and demand studies to evaluate customer impacts.
  • Optimize capital investments through risk and benefit assessments and asset investment planning.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks for clients.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and tools to communicate strategic recommendations.
  • Support business development activities, including the creation of scopes and fees for proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a professional business or consulting environment.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding, including background checks and drug screens.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

  • Master's Degree.
  • Professional certifications related to utility rates or regulatory expertise.
