What you will do

• Lead UX/UI design for credit union digital banking initiatives, creating responsive online and mobile experiences.
• Work within vendor design systems (e.g., Backbase, Temenos, Forge) to recommend optimal configurations, extensions, or bespoke experiences.
• Align member journeys with business strategy and regulatory constraints.
• Create reusable UI components and interaction patterns while ensuring accessibility and usability standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Solution Architects to translate requirements into annotated specifications and wireframes.
• Facilitate design workshops with stakeholders and present strategic design recommendations to executives.

Requirements

• Located in North, Central, or South America.
• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design for web and mobile applications.
• 3+ years of experience specifically designing for digital banking platforms.
• Direct experience with platforms such as VeriPark, Intellect Design, Central1 Forge, Backbase, Temenos, or Lumin.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and structured design systems.
• University degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience working specifically with credit unions or community banks.
• Background in digital banking platform migrations.
• Familiarity with financial flows including authentication, payments, onboarding, and dashboards.
• Experience evolving or contributing to platform-level design systems.
