What you will do

• Design and implement robust deployment strategies using Kubernetes and ArgoCD to ensure high reliability and stability.
• Incorporate integration validation and regression testing into the deployment workflow to prevent regressions in cloud services.
• Lead innovations in environment propagation and rollout mechanisms, including automated load test suites.
• Manage pipelines for phased mutations of Kubernetes objects and infrastructure, ensuring stability prerequisites are met before production.
• Collaborate with software teams to align deployment strategies with the overall technical architecture.
• Oversee monitoring tools like Prometheus and develop readiness and liveness probes to ensure operational integrity.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in release engineering, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployment strategies.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex validation systems in high-reliability environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry, and deployment gating mechanisms.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working across multiple customer-facing teams.
• Must be based in or able to work from South San Francisco, California, USA
