Location: Must be based in the United States (Raleigh, NC preferred)

Salary: $144,580 – $190,000 per year

What you will do

• Ensure high reliability and availability of cloud platforms through cross-functional collaboration.
• Define and evangelize cloud-related optimizations and best practices for scalability and performance.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues across infrastructure, systems, network, and application levels.
• Provide technical leadership during troubleshooting and incident management.
• Share expertise in cloud technologies, automation, and security with the engineering organization.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to maintain production service operations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and SRE, focused on large-scale distributed systems.
• Must be a USA Citizen or in the process of becoming one by January 2027.
• 5+ years of experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and Kubernetes.
• 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering (AWS/Azure) and microservices.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Go, Bash) and observability tooling (Prometheus, Open Telemetry).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting FedRAMP or DoD IL4 certification initiatives.
• Experience with self-hosted Temporal workflow infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications such as CKS, CKD, or AWS professional-level certifications.
