What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and operate mission-critical software systems for financial services.
• Build cloud-native applications using AWS serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB) and container-based (ECS) solutions.
• Implement and optimize architecture patterns including CQRS and event-sourcing.
• Design and manage high-performance APIs using RESTful, GraphQL, and Webhooks.
• Ensure extreme system reliability with a target SLA of 99.999%.
• Maintain high code quality through TDD, BDD, and strict automated testing to eliminate technical debt.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience acting as both a Software Engineer and a DevOps/SRE.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Java.
• Expertise in AWS cloud-native development and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
• Strong background in software design patterns and high-load production systems.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in London, UK

Nice to have

• Experience working within a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
• Familiarity with Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in additional programming languages.
• Experience with PCI-DSS compliant environments.
