What you will do

• Shape the security and integrity of user account systems to minimize risk and potential abuse.
• Develop robust authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms across the environment.
• Deliver secure-by-default infrastructure and scalable permissioning systems.
• Implement reliable and secure storage for sensitive PII user data.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges and define future engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience building scalable systems for millions of users.
• Experience with large distributed systems handling substantial traffic.
• Deep knowledge of cryptography, networking, authentication, and authorization.
• Ability to implement security measures such as encryption, access controls, and data minimization to safeguard PII.
• Must be based within commuting distance of San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, or Seattle.
• Exceptional coding skills and experience in a hyper-growth startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP) using Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Terraform.
• Prior experience at high-growth companies.
