What you will do

• Deliver bespoke customer solutions and exceptional support for Life Science customers.
• Update and continuously improve SciBite’s key scientific content.
• Organize the ontology pipeline to integrate ontologies into SciBite tools.
• Demonstrate SciBite tools and provide training to customers.
• Produce technical blogs, reports, and papers, and present at public meetings and workshops.
• Develop SOPs and implement curation workflow improvements.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in a Life Sciences subject.
• Experience building and working with biomedical ontologies.
• Experience curating biological/clinical data within pharma, drug discovery, or life sciences environments.
• Familiarity with major bio and chemo-informatics public databases and ontologies.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle pressure effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience in customer-facing or Professional Services roles.
• Knowledge of Python, RESTful APIs, and regular expressions.
• Experience using Git and GitHub.
• Exposure to text-analytics and text-mining in the context of drug discovery.
• Interest in Machine Learning and AI.
