What you will do

• Research, evaluate, and adapt state-of-the-art AI techniques to solve large-scale business challenges.
• Drive innovation in Information Retrieval, Product Matching, Recommendation Systems, NLP, and Generative AI.
• Design and conduct advanced experiments and feasibility studies to guide the technical strategy.
• Develop scalable, reproducible, and maintainable machine learning solutions and research frameworks.
• Collaborate with Applied AI and Engineering teams to enable the adoption of research outcomes into products.
• Mentor other scientists and contribute to scientific publications and patents.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or AI research.
• Expertise in training transformer-based models for NLP, Recommendation Systems, or Product Matching.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, PyTorch, Hugging Face, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, ChromaDB, Pinecone) and retrieval-based systems.
• Proven ability to independently drive research initiatives from concept through adoption.

Nice to have

• PhD and publications in leading conferences such as ACL, NeurIPS, ICML, or RecSys.
• Experience with RAG architectures, LLMs, and agent-based frameworks.
• Experience with Knowledge Graphs and domain knowledge in retail or ecommerce.
• Familiarity with Databricks, SQL, and Elasticsearch.
