Frontend Engineer (Ecommerce)

TL;DR

Frontend Engineer (React/GraphQL): Building and redesigning the Merchant Systems Experience to optimize how sellers manage merchandise with an accent on user experience and pixel-perfect implementation. Focus on delivering end-to-end features from inception to production and scaling live commerce tools for a high-growth marketplace.

Location: Must live within commuting distance of New York or Seattle hubs (Hybrid)

Salary: $170,000 – $190,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Build a redesigned vision for how sellers manage their merchandise and represent it on the platform.
• Implement pixel-perfect designs in close collaboration with the design team.
• Own projects from inception to production and beyond, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Optimize the seller experience to minimize steps and maximize engagement with their community.
• Balance technical implementation with strong product instincts to prioritize user needs over purely technical solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in frontend web development with React.
• Proficiency in using GraphQL for API development.
• Must be based in or within commuting distance of New York, NY or Seattle, WA.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Next.js framework.
• Experience in native mobile development.
