TL;DR

Sales Manager (Genomics): Driving capital equipment placements and strategic consumables growth for a sequencing platform with an accent on research and applied genomics markets. Focus on identifying unmet customer needs, managing complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles, and scaling platform adoption across North America.

Location: Remote (US). Must be located in the San Francisco Bay area and willing to travel 50% of the time.

Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 (base salary)

What you will do

  • Identify and develop new customer opportunities and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Create a high-quality sales funnel through strategic account planning and proactive engagement.
  • Close large, complex sequencing projects to drive meaningful, sustained consumables revenue.
  • Drive new instrument placements by aligning platform capabilities to scientific and clinical needs.
  • Manage long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving scientific leaders and executive decision-makers.
  • Provide market and competitive insights to inform GTM and product strategy.

Requirements

  • BS in Molecular Biology, Genetics or related discipline (PhD preferred).
  • 8+ years of sales experience in genomics and/or next-generation sequencing.
  • Proven success selling capital equipment and large-scale consumables programs.
  • Must be located in the San Francisco Bay area.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Expertise in WGS, single cell, oncology, and liquid biopsy workflows.
