TL;DR
Senior Pricing Manager (Academic): Driving revenue growth and optimizing pricing strategies for subscription journals, transformative agreements, and eBooks with an accent on value-based pricing and AI-driven automation. Focus on developing advanced AI algorithms to predict market trends and automating pricing performance metrics to ensure data-driven decision-making.
Location: Must be based in the UK and live within a commutable distance to the Milton Park office (minimum 3 days per week in-person).

What you will do
- Lead strategic pricing engagements including annual updates, new proposition pricing, and the development of innovative business models.
- Implement and own pricing strategies for the Academic and Corporate divisions to drive operational excellence.
- Develop and deploy advanced AI algorithms and machine learning tools to predict market trends and optimize pricing.
- Design automated systems for pricing updates, performance tracking, and competitive benchmarking.
- Collaborate with Editorial, Commercial, and Marketing teams to align pricing with product positioning.
- Deliver regular strategic briefings and status reports to the Executive Leadership Team.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing revenue-driving pricing strategies within the data information services industry.
- Strategic pricing background from a niche consultancy or an in-house Strategic Pricing Team.
- Advanced analytical proficiency in SQL, Python, and R.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Strong bias towards AI technologies and automation tools to streamline pricing processes.
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK.

- Experience within the pricing function of an Academic Publisher.
